Regarding handling of lithium ion batteries

Lithium-ion batteries, commonly used in custom lightsabers, require careful handling.

Please refer to the following information for proper use.

  1. Always use the appropriate charger and AC adapter with the correct current and voltage (either included or recommended by our store).
  2. When charging, always remove the battery from the charger within a maximum of 24 hours. Although the lightsaber's battery has a protection circuit, overcharging may occur if the charger malfunctions, so removal within 24 hours is recommended.
  3. Do not leave the battery in high-temperature locations, such as near heat sources like stoves or fires, or in direct sunlight. This may cause leakage or malfunction.
  4. Do not use the battery in the rain or expose it to water, seawater, juice, or other liquids.
  5. Charging with a charger or AC adapter of insufficient quality may cause malfunction.
  6. For removable battery types, always ensure the positive and negative terminals are correctly identified. Connecting them in reverse can cause current to flow in the wrong direction, leading to abnormal reactions, malfunction, or fire.
  7. Do not connect the positive and negative terminals of the battery with metal. A short circuit can be extremely dangerous. Also, do not carry or store the battery with metallic objects such as necklaces, coins, hairpins, or keys.
  8. Do not drop the battery from a high place or throw it.
  9. Do not disassemble the battery or peel off its shrink wrap (cover).
  10. If the battery will not be used for a long period, remove it and store it in a low-humidity location.
  11. Keep batteries and lightsabers containing batteries out of reach of infants and children.
  12. When the battery's operating time becomes shorter, replace it with a new one.
  13. If the battery leaks or emits an unusual odor, immediately move it away from open flames. Leaked electrolyte can ignite.
  14. Avoid using the lightsaber while it is charging.
