What is ProffieOS's "On The Fly" Modification Feature?

The "On The Fly" feature is a new feature added in ProffieOS7 that allows you to apply a different sound font from the SD card while keeping the currently selected preset.
This allows you to switch only the sound effects such as startup sounds and blade sounds while leaving the blade effects and background music the same.

Proffieboard is known to be difficult to change settings for, but this is a convenient mechanism that allows you to add new fonts without rewriting the configuration file. However, because there is a possibility that unintended changes may occur depending on the operation, we currently ship the product with this function disabled by default.

How to activate

When the blade is off, long click PWR and AUX at the same time

  • PWR: Main button
  • AUX: Auxiliary button
  • Long click: Press and hold for about 1 second and then release simultaneously

Switching order and operation example

The destination will be selected in alphabetical order of the folder names on the SD card .
(*System folders such as "common" and "tracks" will be skipped.)

Let's assume the font folders are as follows (example in AZ order on the SD card):

  1. A
  2. B
  3. C
  4. D
  5. E
  6. F
  7. G
  8. H
  9. I
  10. J

Operation example

Example 1:
If the current font is "A" and you activate On The Fly twice:
→ 1st time: Effects and BGM remain at A, but switch to E → 2nd time: Effects and BGM remain at A, but switch to F

Example 2:
Then, if you change the font to "C" and activate On The Fly:
→ The next order, G , is applied, and the effects and background music remain C, but only the audio changes to G.
