LGT (NEXUS) Chassis Unit Replacement Guide

Introduction

The chassis unit of an LGT (NEXUS) SABERS guitar contains the battery and sound board. This page explains how to safely and smoothly replace the chassis unit.

Required tools and parts

Before performing the replacement procedure, prepare the following tools and parts:

  • LGT/NEXUS SABERS chassis unit compatible with hilt
  • Hex wrench (M4 standard. You can also use the wrench for fixing the blade)

Replacement Procedure

1. Turn off the saver

Turn off the power saver and remove the battery if your model has a removable battery.

2. Removing the grip (or pommel)

Remove the bottom part of the saber (grip or pommel).

3. Removing the chassis unit

  1. Completely remove the two screws (fixing screw and extrusion screw) on the back of the button.

  1. Push the button into the inside of the hilt.

  1. Gently pull out the chassis unit.

4. Installing the new chassis unit

  1. Place the new chassis unit on the hilt, making sure to align the charging port and button. Chassis Unit Installation


  1. Push the button out through the screw hole on the back of the button towards the hilt. Press the button


  1. Reinstall the screws removed in step 3-1. Re-securing the screws


5. Operation check

  1. Connect the battery and turn the power on.
  2. Check the sound and LEDs to make sure they are working properly.

  • Please perform the replacement carefully and do not use excessive force.
  • We recommend taking precautions against static electricity to prevent damage to internal parts and connectors.
