NEXUS Chassis Unit Replacement Guide

Introduction

The chassis unit for NEXUS (NEXUS) SABERS is the component that houses the battery and soundboard. This page explains the procedure for replacing the chassis unit safely and smoothly.

Required Tools and Parts

Before performing the replacement, please prepare the following tools and parts.

  • A NEXUS/NEXUS-manufactured chassis unit compatible with your hilt
  • Hex key (M4 size; the wrench used for blade retention may be used)

Replacement Procedure

1. Power off the saber

Turn off the saber, and if your model has a removable battery, remove it.

2. Remove the grip (or pommel) section

Remove the lower part of the saber (the grip or pommel).

3. Remove the chassis unit

  1. Completely remove the two screws (the retaining screw and the pushing screw) located behind the button.

  1. Push the button into the hilt.

  1. Gently pull out the chassis unit.

4. Install the new chassis unit

  1. Place the new chassis unit into the hilt. Make sure the charging port and the button are aligned correctly. Installing the chassis unit

  1. Re-secure the screws removed in step 3-1. Re-securing the screws


5. Operation check

  1. Connect the battery and turn on the power.
  2. Check the sound and LED operation to ensure everything is working correctly.

  • Perform the replacement carefully and avoid applying excessive force.
  • It is recommended to take anti-static measures to prevent damage to internal parts and connectors.
