Regarding Proffieboard configuration reset

Here is a guide on how to restore your Proffieboard model to its factory settings after using Edit Settings mode, changing colors, or changing blade styles.

※ This procedure is for ProffieOS 7 and later. Some methods may not be available on models with older OS versions.

⚠ Regarding Blade Length (Number of LEDs) Settings:
Performing a reset using Methods 2 or 3 below will also reset the blade length (number of active LEDs) settings changed in Edit Settings mode. The factory default is 132 (for a 90cm blade). If your blade length has changed after a reset, please reconfigure it via Edit Settings mode.

Method 1: Resetting via Color/Style Change Operations

Overview

This method involves manually reverting the settings for a specific font (sound file) by performing the color change or style change operation.

Caution

The operation methods for color changes and style changes differ between one-button and two-button configurations.
Please refer to the operation manual corresponding to your model.

Method 2: Reflashing with Config File

Overview

You can restore factory settings by using the Config file (.h) saved on your SD card to reflash the firmware onto the Proffieboard.

⚠ Important: Please back up all data on your SD card before beginning this process.

Steps

  1. Back up the data on your SD card.
  2. Locate the Config file (.h file) on your SD card.
  3. Use the Arduino IDE to reflash the firmware using the Config file.

※ This operation will overwrite any custom color settings or blade styles, restoring them to factory defaults.

※ The blade length (number of LEDs) setting will also be reset (default: 132 / for a 90cm blade). You can reconfigure this in Edit Settings mode.

Method 3: Resetting by Deleting Saved Data

Overview

The Proffieboard stores information regarding color and style changes in files on the SD card.
By deleting these files, the stored information is reset, reverting the device to the state it was in when the firmware was last flashed.

⚠ Important: Please back up all data on your SD card before beginning this process.

Files to Delete

Delete all of the following files located in the root directory of your SD card:

curstate.ini
curstate.tmp
gesture.ini
global.ini
presets.ini
presets.tmp

Steps

  1. Turn off the saber and remove the SD card.
  2. Back up the data on your SD card.
  3. Delete the files mentioned above.
  4. Reinsert the SD card into the saber and turn it on.

※ When powered on, the Proffieboard will automatically regenerate these files with initial settings.

※ This operation will also reset the blade length (number of LEDs) setting (default: 132 / for a 90cm blade). You can reconfigure this in Edit Settings mode.
